For many years, Sora Composites has participated in advanced research programs in the field of composite materials.
TECABS
|
TEchnologies for Carbon fibre reinforced modular Automotive Body Structure
|
 |
Objectives :
Develop manufacturing, simulation and design technologies and methods to create a concept of composite bodies offering a 50 % weight reduction and a 70 % reduction in the number of parts.
This development is based on use of low-cost carbon preforms, a high-speed RTM process and a production scenario of 50 vehicles/day.
ALBOS
Affordable Lightweight BOdy Structures
|
 |
Objectives :
Development of manufacturing technologies to obtain an affordable composite body adapted to a production volume of 20 000 units/year
Develop and optimise the performance of low-cost carbon (hybrid carbon) to achieve a 40 % weight reduction.
Guarantee minimum impact on the environment
Develop the F3P preform technology for carbon fibre
